Ugh, how many times does this L3 setup have to be posted :)
High : 5xHeavy, 2x150mm rails Mids: 2xLarge Shield Extender, 2x Hardeners, 1xWEBBER (so you can shoot the frigs) Lows: As many Power Diagnostics as you can fit, might need one CPU enhancer depending on skills
My Ferox has 8667 shield points with this setup and doesn't drop below 50% shields soloing any L3.

You can use Heavies against the frigates with some success as they close on you because some will have MWD which blow up their signatures. If you see your Heavies doing jack for damage, switch them to firing at Cruisers or sentry guns if the guns if they are type II guns. Use the webber and small guns and your drones on the webbers/orbiters.

You peeps putting Heavy launchers and 250mm rails on your ships, how are you killing the really tough frigs like the Mercenary Wingman? Even webbed those 250mm rails aren't going to hit a frig inside 10km are they? My 4 light drones weren't enough, but my drone skills suck.

There is no reason to get so fancy with the Nos and the Invuln fields, you should just fit shield hardeners and save yourself the cap. That way you will never need the nos and can use those high slots for dealing damage. The 5xHeavy launcher + 2xrail builds with passive shield tanks are going to outdamage your build and be just as durable, while never having any risk of running out of cap. For missions with NPCs dealing a wide variety of damage, 2xHardeners and 1xInvuln works very well.

Originally by: Greyshadow Well tried your setup, theres not alot different need to check the cap drain though.
Mine: EM = 56.7% Ex = 82.6% Kin = 74% The = 65.3%
Your: EM = 66.3% Ex = 74.2% Kin = 61.3% The = 73%
What would you say was better?
Your resists should be tailored to who you are fighting. I put on a thermal and a kinetic hardenerr when i fight guristas, EM and Expl not being important. When fighting Mercenary commanders and WIngmen i put on EM and Thermal, etc. Check out www.evegeek.com, they have a link in the sidebar telling you which damage is dealt by each npc.

Congrats on wasting so much time on reading such old posts :)
Quote: Oh one last thing about those nos: they use less ship resurces than rails-means better modules can be fit. That was the original reason I started using them at all.
If you mounted Nos so as to "use less ship resources" you might as well just leave the slots empty. Nos are just about as useful for L3 missions as empty high slots would be.
